Start with fit
Look for enough room for your toes, a secure heel, and a feel that works with your usual socks. A size label alone does not tell you whether a shoe will be comfortable.
Match the day ahead
Consider the surface, weather, shoe weight, and how long you expect to be on your feet. A rugged boot and a lightweight everyday shoe serve different needs.
Check before going outside
Try footwear indoors and move naturally. If it feels too tight, slips at the heel, or creates pressure, reconsider the size or style before outdoor wear.
